Most students who have had little to no exposure to programming and/or game development spend 12-24 months working through the core training (basic programming, math, and art) and about the same on the more advanced materials. Of course, the actual time involved varies greatly depending on prior experience, how much time one is able to dedicate to the lesson material (e.g., weekend-only study vs. daily study of several hours each day) and how deeply they feel that they want to get involved in a given subject (or even whether they want to skip certain subjects entirely). That said, as long as the student maintains an active website membership they are free to take as much or as little time as they feel that they are able to dedicate. We usually recommend targeting 10 hours per week if possible, but this is a self-study and (most importantly) self-paced program, so these are really just ballpark figures to be used as guidelines.
